MusicGate Finals line-up at Westgate
The big day has arrived - the MusicGate finals are taking place at Westgate Super Regional Shopping Centre this Saturday, 14th April. This music event headlined by renowned South African acts Wonderboom, Loyiso Bala and Nova Rise will also showcase ten upcoming artists from diverse musical backgrounds who will be vying for first prize.
The varied music line-up ranges from Rock and Roll; R ‘n B to Hip Hop and Pop music. All musical tastes will be catered for and attendees will be entertained for the entire duration of the show.
Gates to the outdoor event open at 14h00, next to Entrance 2, with the first group on stage at 14:30.

“We are really excited about the finals,” says Trust Masarirambi, Westgate’s Marketing Manager. “The three preliminary rounds proved we have some awesome musical talent in the West Rand and Saturday will see the ten finalists playing the gig of their lives in support of two of South Africa’s biggest musical acts – Wonderboom and Loyiso Bala.
“It is also great that we have Nova Rise opening the event, our very own band from the West Rand.”
Catering to all ages the event starts at 14h00 and ends at 18h00. Tickets cost only R50 and can be purchased at the gate on the day or from Westgate at the Centre Management office and Information Desk.
The ten finalists performing at this year’s MusicGate finals are all aspiring musicians dreaming of making it big within the music industry. At the finals music lovers will have the opportunity of hearing the future sounds of South Africa. One of these artists will take top honours where, courtesy of Enso Entertainment, the winner gets to propel their musical ambitions by recording a song and shooting a music video. In addition to this, the winner will receive a sound hamper sponsored by Wild & Marr.
