Who says a coffee station can't be a mood? Tjhoko Ambassador Yolandi van de Venter styled this corner with a dark, dramatic backdrop and soft, light finishes — and the result is a little nook we'd happily spend our mornings in.

Ensure the pine shelf is clean and ready for painting before applying your finish.

Apply two coats of Da’vid to the entire piece. Once dry, seal with an undiluted coat of Clear Glaze to prevent any bleeding.

𝘼𝙙𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙚:
Paint the selected decoupage areas with two coats of Da’vid, then apply the decoupage using Floor Sealer for a strong, durable finish.

𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚:
Apply build-up paste to selected areas to create dimension. Once dry, paint over these sections with one coat of Da’vid.

Sand down the textured areas to soften and reveal depth—this is where the piece starts to come alive.

Layer and blend your colours across the piece, using tones like Creative Chrystal, Dani’s Dare, John’s Joy, Real Red and Matt Black to create a rich, artistic finish.

Apply a diluted Antique Glaze over the entire unit to enhance details and create a beautifully aged effect.
