Two works. One conversation.
This diptych explores the tension between what is contained and what is expressed. Held Within draws inward, the body closed, energy compressed beneath the surface. In contrast, Reaching Out extends forward, opening into space, searching, signalling beyond itself.
Together, the works form a continuous dialogue.
Control and release.
Weight and movement.
Silence and expression.
Colour interruptions move across both canvases like fragments of communication, linking the two figures through an unseen current. The deep blue grounds unify the pair, while red and electric accents act as signals, carrying energy from one piece to the other.
These works are not separate.
They are designed to exist together.

JAN’s diptych works are rare. They are created as connected expressions, where each piece completes the other.
Acquiring this set offers more than ownership of two artworks, it is an investment in a unified narrative, a dialogue captured across canvas.
