Pretoria Giants FC maiden League Tournament participation saw the club reached the quarter final. It was a thriller game against 2021/2022 League winner Hebron Faith FC which saw the encounter went into penalties after 60min of full time was played.

The game produce some intense moments throughout with Hebro Faith FC placing Pretoria Giants under pressure most part of the game which Pretoria Giants won it through a penalties which Pretoria Giants Keeper held his nerves and saved to crucial penalties from the last kicker of Hebro Faith and also, in the sudden death kick.

The win against Hebron Faith saw Pretoria Giants through to the next round facing Santos FC in quarter finals of the EFA pre-season tournament, it wasn’t an easy match up for Pretoria Giants as Santos FC had a walk over earlier in the day. Santos FC won the 1-0 and they advance to the semi finals of the tournament.

Pretoria Giants FC will be participating in their first maiden football tournament this Spring weekend on 3rd September 2022.

The Eersterust Football Association Pre-season tournament will see 14 teams, in the league compete to get the first bragging rights of the season. The Giants have been drawn against the league champions 2021/2022 season Hebron Faith FC.

Pretoria Giants pre-season matches have been competitive, with this game set to be another exciting test for the club. The squad is filled with passionate youth players who want to play for the club, in this match.

A thrilling match day awaits, as the Gaints look to enforce themselves as the 2022/2023 season of the Eersterust League kicks off.
