We are in love with the wildlife and nature of wild Africa and capturing these 'moments in time' is our passion. Photography is a way of life which forces you to view the world differently in terms of light, action, colors and composition. NATURE's TINY AERIAL SNIPER

The Malachite Kingfisher may be only 13 cm long, but it's one of Africa's most extraordinary hunters. Its incredible eyesight compensates for light refraction, allowing it to pinpoint fish beneath the water before diving with deadly precision. It also feasts on insects, spiders, frogs and even crabs, beating larger prey against a branch before swallowing it whole. During breeding, both parents dig a tunnel nest into a riverbank, while the male courts his mate by bringing her food. Once the chicks fledge, they're quickly chased away to start life on their own!

At dawn in Kruger National Park we found a large, scarred male leopard resting in a sun-warmed patch of green, eyes half-closed but alert. His coat bore the map of past battles: a ragged ear, a pale line across his flank, scars across his nose. He moved with slow, deliberate grace, each breath a quiet claim to this, his stretch of bush. For over half an hour we watched him alone, patient and sovereign, scenting the wind, listening out for sounds. Day fell through the bushes; he rose, stretched, and melted into the shadowed acacia, leaving only the memory of amber eyes and silent, ancient power and mystery.

KORI BUSTARD (Gompou in Afrikaans) Although no longer classified as game birds, they are still sometimes eaten. In Namibia, they are indicated as game as they are called the "Christmas turkey" and in South Africa, the "Kalahari Kentucky". (wikipedia.org)
