The kids loved exploring the little treasures inside the Animal Play Pot that they got as party favours.

They started playing guessing games with the track stamps and asking each other whose track is this?

And every single one of them packed theirs away again without leaving it discarded on the table.

This is the space which I am happily watching come into its own.

It is small and created for light, mess, wonder and kids making things.

Glue and wool. That's it.

No instructions, no template, defintely no right way to do it.

One kid plonked it on in big colourful bunches. Another placed every piece down like she was solving something and my youngest kept measuring lengths so they matched.

Same materials. Completely different minds at work.

That is what I mean when I say the simplest activities are often the best ones.

I wanted as many animal track stamps in The Animal Play Pot as I could fit. I also wanted an animal print textured roller but there wasn't room for both of them, until... I designed them to work as one. The roller holds the stamps, doubles as a handle for stamping the tracks, and on its own, prints a textured animal print.

This Play Pot represents three years of building something from nothing.

Designing, making, packing, labelling almost 400 of them.

The dream was never the scary part. Deciding to back it fully is.

This activity had the kids engaged for a full 90 minute session. Even my chattiest little girl was deep in concentration the entire time.

They loved finding the "disco ball" beads to thread onto their suncatcher and then seeing the light reflected onto the table or walls while they were busy ✨️

As is becoming custom now, the glue gun was requested so they could decorate their driftwood or glue beads in the shape of their name.

This is exactly the kind of session Artful Makers was built for.

I have spent far too long being realistic: worrying about the pressure of the future, the guilt of wanting more, and the fear that going after what I really want is irresponsible.

But I am done.

I want the studio.
I want the growth.
I want to go to markets.
I want shelves filled with products I created.
I want to build something my daughters can be included in.

So I am done postponing my ambitions. I refuse for this to be a side hustle I manage in between everything else anymore.

Nobody ever goes home with the same piece (if anything at all). Everyone is doing their own thing.
