The night was one to remember. The 2025 NPC-UNISA Newsmaker of the Year and Journalist of the Year Awards took place at the CSIR International Convention Centre, where South Africa's finest journalism was celebrated.

The evening honoured Lieutenant General Nhlanhla 'Lucky' Sibusiso Mkhwanazi and recognised the country's top journalists for their outstanding contributions to the profession.
