retiring from trying to be perfect
my self-consciousness became a burden
lines blurred between desires and urges
found myself emotionally less present,
physically there but mentally absent
had to make a shift to self acceptance
rebuild a sense of self dependence
look in the mirror and hope to see a resemblance
