NEW ON OUR SHELVES : CELEBRATION is the South African jazz genius and multi-instrumentalist BHEKI MSELEKU’S debut 1992 recording, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize, in the United Kingdom in the same year. The 10-track recording is now available on vinyl(Double-LP), for the first time since the album was first released.

The music in the album is referred to in the re-issue’s liner notes as “a swift and original music vision, in which whole musical systems – the marabi ad the mbhaqanga jazz of the townships, American jazz, European classical, and more – are seamlessly mended together by the pianist’s quicksilver musical sensibility and legendary technical ability.

NEW ARRIVAL STOCK : The album “BIRD SONG” is a collaboration project between South African award-winning Visual Artist KEMANG WA LEHURE and the rising jazz star, South African composer and trumpeter MANDLA MLANGENI. With only 300 vinyls printed, the project was released on the occasion of “KEMANG WA LEHURE : BIRDSONG” being chosen as the DEUTSCHE BANK “ARTIST OF THE YEAR” 2017.

Album comprises four joint compositions by the two artists, and features Mark Fransman(Tenor and Alto Sax, Alto Flute and Accordion), Oscar Rachabane(Tenor Sax), Keena Ahrends(Guitar), Kriston Heckler(Piano), Sebastian Schuter(Bass) and Thomas Worle(Drums).

COLECTOR'S ITEM : YAKHAL' INKOMO is one of South Africa's iconic jazz recordings, by the legendary saxophonist Winston Mankunku Ngozi. It was recorded in 1968 and features Lionell Pillay on Piano, Early Mabuza on Drums and Agrippa Magwaza on Acoustic Bass. The influence and significance of this recording is captured beautifully in Percy Mabandu's timely 2016 book "Yakhal'inkomo : Portrait of a Jazz Classsic".
