Extreme Security Armed Response received reports via social media of a vehicle on fire on the N2 Freeway in Cotswold.

Upon arrival, our officers assisted by redirecting traffic to ensure the safety of motorists and other road users until the Fire Department arrived on scene and took over the incident.

We thank all motorists for their patience and cooperation during the emergency response.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – MISSING PERSON FOUND 🚨

📍 Link Road, Linton Grange

Extreme Security Armed Response officers were alerted by a concerned client regarding a missing elderly gentleman from a local retirement village. A full description of the gentleman and the vehicle he was driving was provided.

Officers immediately began searching the area where he was last seen and successfully located the elderly gentleman safe and unharmed. Armed Response officers then ensured he was safely escorted back home.

🚨🚨🚨 EXTREME SECURITY INCIDENT REPORT – THEFT RECOVERY 🚨🚨🚨

📍 Area: Parsons Ridge

A social media report was received regarding suspects stealing a water tank from a property in Parsons Ridge.

Armed Response was immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, two male suspects had already been apprehended by members of the community and the local Neighbourhood Watch while in possession of the stolen water tank.

SAPS has since attended the scene and the matter has been handed over for further investigation.

Thank you to all who responded to thos report and ensuring a positive arrest was made.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – TRUCK FIRE 🚨

📍 Location: N2 Highway near Samantha Road Turnoff
📅 Date & Time: 23 July 2026 | 08:20

Extreme Security Armed Response responded to reports of a truck on fire on the N2 Highway. Our Control Room confirmed with the Fire Department that the incident had already been reported and that units were en route.

Upon arrival, Armed Response officers checked on the driver, who confirmed that she was unharmed. Extreme Security then worked alongside NMBM Traffic Officials and Metro Police to close the affected section of the N2, providing a secure working area for firefighters to bring the blaze under control.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – HOUSE BREAKING 🚨

📍 Location: Froneman Street, Rowallan Park

📅 Date & Time: 22 July 2026 | 17:31

Armed Response received information regarding a reported house breaking. Upon arrival, officers found that access had allegedly been gained by climbing over the front palisade fence. The framework and window were removed in order to gain entry into the residence.

The client reported that a small crate containing underwear was taken from the premises.

Residents are reminded of the importance of having a master lock or an access receiver installed at their premises. This allows Armed Response officers to gain access quickly during emergencies, which may assist in reducing delays when responding to incidents.

Kabega Park SAPS attended the scene together with Armed Response officers, and a case has been opened for investigation.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – POSITIVE ARREST 🚨

📍 Location: Lategan Drive, Rowallan Park

📅 Date & Time: 16 July 2026 | 03:24

While conducting routine patrols in the area, Extreme Security Armed Response officers noticed two males attempting to gain access to underground fibre-optic cable infrastructure. A foot chase was immediately initiated as the suspects fled.

The suspects ran into a nearby bush area and were briefly lost from sight. Backup units were requested, and additional Extreme Security Armed Response officers, together with members of the Cotswold Neighbourhood Watch, responded to assist.

During the search, one suspect was spotted on CCTV hiding in a tree. As armed response officers approached, he jumped from the tree and fled, leading officers on a foot chase over several walls.

Neighbourhood Watch members then requested assistance at a nearby dead-end, where another suspect was successfully apprehended before he could escape into the bush. The suspect was caught completely off guard by an unmarked patrol vehicle that formed part of the operation, leaving him with no opportunity to hide or escape.

CCTV footage later confirmed that a total of five suspects had entered the area. The remaining suspects managed to evade arrest.

Kabega Park SAPS attended the scene, took the suspect into custody, and seized the tools allegedly used to gain access to the fibre cable infrastructure. The suspect was transported to the police station, where he was detained.

👏 Well done to everyone involved. This incident once again highlights the importance of a strong partnership between an active Neighbourhood Watch and Armed Response, supported by effective teamwork, CCTV technology, and unmarked patrol vehicles.

In Loving Memory of Mr. Twala

It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of one of our own, Advanced Life Support Paramedic Mr. Twala, who tragically lost his life today while responding to a medical emergency in the line of duty.

Mr. Twala was more than a paramedic—he was a remarkable human being, a trusted colleague, a loyal friend, and a true servant of his community. He wore the Bester EMS uniform with immense pride and honour, always placing the needs of others before his own. His compassion, professionalism, courage, and unwavering commitment to saving lives will never be forgotten.

Today, while answering the call to help someone in need, he made the ultimate sacrifice. Although his life was cut tragically short, his legacy of selfless service will live on in the many lives he touched.

To his family, friends, and loved ones, please know that your pain is shared by the entire Bester EMS family. We pray that God grants you strength, comfort, and peace during this unimaginable time.

We also ask everyone to keep his colleague, Leletu, who was seriously injured in the accident and is currently in hospital, in your thoughts and prayers as he begins his road to recovery.

Mr. Twala, thank you for your dedication, your courage, your kindness, and for serving with such honour. You answered every call without hesitation, and today your final shift came to an end.

Your shift is done. Rest easy, brother. We’ve got it from here.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – 4 POSITIVE ARRESTS 🚨

📍 Location: C/o Cape Rd & Kabega Rd

📅 Date & Time: 14 July 2026 | 18:00

Extreme Security Armed Response received information from a reliable source regarding a vehicle fitted with cloned registration plates that was allegedly being used in the commission of crimes. The information indicated that the vehicle was at Walker Drive Shopping Centre.

Armed Response immediately responded to the shopping centre, located the vehicle, and discreetly monitored it. Shortly thereafter, two males entered the vehicle and drove off in the direction of Kabega Park. While following the vehicle, the necessary role players were informed to arrange assistance.

Members of SAPS CCU assisted in stopping the vehicle. A total of three males and one female were found inside. During a search of the vehicle, suspected stolen property, including stolen bank cards and items believed to have been stolen during a theft out of a motor vehicle, was recovered.

All four suspects were arrested and taken into custody at Kabega Park SAPS. They are expected to face charges relating to theft out of a motor vehicle, possession of suspected stolen property, and any additional offences arising from the investigation.

👏 Excellent teamwork by everyone involved. The successful arrests were made possible through the sharing of valuable information and the swift response of all role players.

Extreme Security Armed Response responded to a social media report of a suspect in a resident's yard. While searching the area, a nearby panic alarm was activated. The client provided a description of the suspect, and officers quickly located and apprehended him.

The suspect was found in possession of a stolen soccer jersey belonging to another security company's client. He was handed over to the relevant security company, and Kabega Park SAPS attended the scene.

🚨 EXTREME SECURITY ALERT – POSITIVE ARREST 🚨

📍 Location: Sasha Street, Kabega Park

📅 Date & Time: 12 July 2026 | 11:45

An off-duty Extreme Security officer received information from a reliable source regarding the whereabouts of a wanted suspect and immediately notified Armed Response to respond to Metlife Mall.

Within seconds, Armed Response officers arrived on scene and located the suspect inside a shop. Officers discreetly monitored the suspect's movements until members of Kabega Park SAPS arrived a few minutes later and successfully took the suspect into custody.

Well done to everyone involved for the swift response, excellent teamwork, and dedication to keeping our community safe.
