What an incredible woman! Linda-Louise Swain, teacher, mentor, dedicated commitee member, honorary life member of PEMADS and all round inspirational human, will be sorely missed. She has left an immeasurable impact on so many thespian lives - what a wonderful legacy she has created and left us. We recognize, we celebrate and admire her hard work, skill and dedication to her craft, but also the kindness and gentleness she showed as she went about it... and this extends to the tireless work she did for those that couldn't speak for themselves through the AACL charity. We send love and light to Gary and Sue and her family and her friends at this very difficult time. Here's to a life well lived, fly free precious soul!

They say 'From the first beat to the final bow, audiences were captivated. Many stayed behind afterwards, eager to speak to the performers and share how deeply the production had moved them.

For co-choreographer Tilette Roelofse, that response confirmed something powerful: Afro Fiesta had struck a chord.

"The first thought is always ‘they're enjoying it, they’re really into it," she said.

For her, audience connection is everything. "You can't fake that kind of response."

"If someone's shoulders start swaying, or their foot starts tapping, or they're up out of their seat dancing, it means we are doing something right."

After 21 successful shows, we have a happy and critically acclaimed cast, creative team and crew. However, we would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank those who work behind the scenes to keep the show up and running: our dedicated and passionate volunteers. Our volunteers find us in many ways; friends or relatives of cast members, local theatre stalwarts who are always keen to help, or sometimes those that just pop up out of the blue to support us tirelessly through our 3-week-long pantomime run. From tuckshop duty, selling pancakes or programmes, cast welfare, props management, cleaning the auditorium between performances and even making a well-deserved lunch for the cast on double show days, our volunteers’ work should never go unnoticed since it holds together the very fibre of what community theatre is all about. We don't do it because it’s our job and our source of income, but rayher because we love it and live it.

Thank you to our volunteers and all who helped ‘PETER PAN-TOMIME' be a greatly enjoyed and successful show. We hope to see you all again next year…
