Let’s start with the first obvious question 🙋‍♀️

What do you need to start your ESL journey?

Let’s first deal with your equipment:

1. A laptop (i3 and higher), tablet or smartphone with good camera quality (there are some companies where you can use your phone to teacher from)
2. Stable internet preferably fibre (speed not lower than 10mb up and download)
3. A good set of headphones with a noise cancelling microphone (I love gaming headphones because it’s comfortable and works best for me)
4. Sufficient lighting ( I used an 18inch ring light)
5. Back up for the unknown 🫣 especially in SA!! So I have a Gizzu UPS for my internet and a back up laptop for when my main laptop dies

Please bear in mind that the equipment I have, I have accumulated over five years.
