What an honor to be mentioned in the Irish Dance Globe ! Thank you for taking the time to interview our amazing TCRG, Teacher Jo 🍀❤️

TCRG Joanne Kerr of Celtic Classical Dance Academy has witnessed Irish dance’s steady growth in South Africa since the late 1990s, and knows all about the competitive world of Aisling Awards and international CLRG Majors.

However, in recent years she has turned her attention to making Irish dance more accessible to dancers from low-income backgrounds in historically disadvantaged regions.

“What makes working with these young dancers so special is their enthusiasm, determination, and willingness to embrace something completely different,” she tells The Irish Dance Globe.
