After voting yesterday, we got to shake hands with this chap.
It was amazing to touch his scaly skin!

The political references did not escape me..."snake in the grass"...."reptilian brain"... "die krokodil"...however, meeting these creatures face to face - I felt the comparison was most unfair to them. Instead I hoped that "the scales would fall from our eyes" and we would recognise the power we have to create change.

This is my favourite, my Goose teapot made by Chris SMART, ceramicist and industrial designer. The last time I spoke to the artist he told me that he could no longer make the iconic Goose teapots as he was unable to source the special clay needed.

Spice spice baby...

Known as the 'Lipstick plant' the vivid red paste is used by Zanzibaris as make-up for special occassions like weddings and the Masai warriors from mainland Tanzania use it in their ceremonial face and body painting.
