Driven by a passion for ancient Hermetic principals, I explore the unseen through abstract form. In my practise, I treat the act of creating as a form of alchemy. I use mainly plaster and clay as medium - a material of weight and structure - to 'fix' the fluid, ethereal energy of a concept into a solid physical form.
For me each piece is more than just an object; it is the soil of transformation. It is a rugged, textured surface where the chaotic work of metamorphosis takes place. Yet, within that ruggedness, the chaos, there is always a quiet center - an inner landscape at peace.
