To all my supporters and potential visitors to the Rondebosch potters market....please note these changes to the venue and the date.

Ceramics Western Cape is pleased to announce that our much-loved Rondebosch Park Potters' Market will be relocating to the Alphen Common in partnership with Alphen Market. Alphen Market

The market will now take place over two days — 28 & 29 March 2026 — offering visitors even more time to browse, connect with makers, and purchase exceptional handmade ceramics directly from local potters from all over the Western Cape.

This move comes after changes to trader limits and increasingly complex event permit application requirements at our previous, decades-long venue, Rondebosch Park.

Rather than scale down, we have chosen to grow — partnering with a vibrant, well-established market space that allows us to showcase more ceramic artists and create an even better experience for our supporters.

What Visitors Can Expect:
A beautiful outdoor setting in the heart of Constantia.
A larger selection of handmade functional and decorative ceramics.
The opportunity to meet and buy directly from local potters.
The warm, community-focused atmosphere our supporters know and love.
A wide selection of food, drink and activities.
Free parking, pet-friendly and accessible.

Our Potters' Markets have always been about celebrating craftsmanship, supporting small creative businesses, and connecting the public with the people behind the work. This new
chapter allows us to continue that mission in a space that offers greater visibility, accessibility, and room to grow.

This is not a pretty studio video. I think I am changing my studio name to workshop. Anyway, I am preparing for South Africa's biggest Ceramic Market hosted by the amazing at Rondebosch. This market is the absolutely best place to meet potters of all kinds, see every type of ceramics possible and have the most fabulous time. There is also food and beverages on sale.
