Memeza Media House Memeza means to Shout; which invariably result in GETTING HEARD. We are in the shouting business of Marketing & Communications, PR, Events and Music

Memeza is a Nguni word which means to 'Shout'. Shouting means a number of things to different people, but the underlying factor is that it results in someone GETTING HEARD. We are definitely in the shouting business of Marketing, Communications, PR, Media Liaison, Events, Music Production, Publishing and Design and you'll HEAR us. This group however serves as a vehicle for our members, partners, f

riends and potential clients to mingle and share experiences of value to the group. We will from time to time update you on what is happening in our world.

Have you ever thought about this?

In 100 years like in 2124 we will all be buried with our relatives and friends.
Strangers will live in our homes we fought so hard to build, and they will own everything we have today. All our possessions will be unknown and unborn, including the car we spent a fortune on, and will probably be scrap, preferably in the hands of an unknown collector.
Our descendants will hardly or hardly know who we were, nor will they remember us. How many of us know our grandfather's father?
After we die, we will be remembered for a few more years, then we are just a portrait on someone's bookshelf, and a few years later, our history, photos and deeds disappear in history's oblivion. We won't even be memories.
If we paused one day to analyse these questions, perhaps we would understand how ignorant and weak the dream to achieve it all was.
If we could only think about this, surely our approaches, our thoughts would change, we would be different people.
Always having more, no time for what's really valuable in this life.
I'd change all this to live and enjoy the walks I've never taken, these hugs I didn't give, these kisses for our children and our loved ones, these jokes we didn't have time for.
Those would certainly be the most beautiful moments to remember, after all they would fill our lives with joy.
And we waste it day after day with greed, greed and intolerance.

A sad day/season, for the arts. One of Stimela's carriages has derailed. Ray "Chikapa" Phiri is no more. He will be remembered for his beautiful and unique wailing guitar sounds, mellow voice, powerful incisive and fearless lyrics. What good is a song if it has no message, he once asked. Contrary to some beliefs, bro Ray Phiri didn't regard Stimela as his own fiefdom, he rather encouraged new talent to join the band and keep the legacy alive as could be seen with an almost completely new line-up during Stimela's 25yrs celebration show. He used to explain that Stimela (the locomotive)is a long train with many carriages and that at any given point a train can add a new carriage. True to his word, many carriages were added to Stimela over the years and many ultimately derailed, with Nana "Coyote" Motijoane being the recent carriage to have fallen by the trackside. Nkatha Ngreeka (Danger Signs) for our arts and music industry. Many artists are biting the dust faster than a plectrum can strum a string. Time for the living to reflect. We will forever cherish your music and won't forget the role you have played in developing music in this country and the world. Yes, "we are all tributaries of the great river of pain flowing into one ocean". You won't be there anymore to help us search for the "missing chord". We hope that amajita angeke bajinde now that you no longer there.
