Sometimes it's good to step away from the papers, put the scissors aside, and simply play with paint, texture and stamps. These little abstract pieces were just that - a relaxing break from retreat preparations and designer projects.

Lorraine Haddath created this She Blooms Boldly Memory Journal with the ROSEY collection. Some memories deserve more than a photograph…they deserve a place to live.

Lorraine created this journal as a companion piece to her “Timeless Beauty” layout, celebrating beautiful memories of her mom. She wanted to create something to record the stories, little moments that photographs cannot capture. The stunning papers and elements from this collection were perfect for this project. Lorraine has layered patterns, textures and florals to create a cover that feels both vintage and feminine, while the “Own Your Story” sentiment is perfect for a memory journal. Tip: The vellum frame was made using a piece of tracing paper, embossed and lines drawn using a gel pen – great idea if you don’t have any decorative vellum on hand.

A journal to remember, to treasure and to tell her story.

Have you been hibernating the last few freezing, wet days !! I have but been busy with design team projects and kits for the Spring Craft retreat next month but found time for a challenge over at Ujabule Art Journal F/B page. The brief - use one colour so reached for my Daniel Smith Cacade Green watercolour tube. Voila - I like it 💕

INSPIRATION: Accordion Style Mini Album designed by Lorraine Haddath
For this project Lorraine created an interactive accordion – style mini album using the beautiful Live Life in Colour collection. Layered pockets, colourful tags and plenty of space for treasured photos and journalling make this album as fun to explore as it is to create. By mixing the vibrant florals, vintage imagery, butterflies and ruler designs throughout the album it celebrates life’s colourful moments.
