Grabbing, squeezing, poking and pinching may seem like simple actions but for your baby, they are big milestones!🤲
Every time your little one reaches out, picks up a toy or explores something new with their hands, they are strengthening the tiny muscles in their hands, wrists and fingers. These fine motor skills lay the foundation for future abilities such as self-feeding, dressing, drawing and eventually writing.
Fine motor play also develops hand eye coordination and problem-solving skills, helping your baby learn to control their movements and explore their world with growing confidence.
Offer safe, interesting objects for your baby to investigate every day, such as soft fabrics, textured toys, silicone cups or chunky wooden blocks. Follow their lead, allow plenty of time for exploration and celebrate their curiosity.🧐
Remember, it's not about doing it perfectly. It's about trying, exploring and discovering at their own pace.
