WHY WE DIM THE LIGHTS. 🕯️🖤
When the lights go out across our country, it is no longer just about power—it is a reflection of the profound, suffocating darkness we are living through. The relentless, brutal murders of women in our society have turned our homes and streets into places of fear.
We at Orlando Legacy 1804 refuse to let these lives be forgotten in the shadows. Every woman lost is a daughter, a mother, and a sister whose future was violently stolen.
Dimming the light is our symbol of collective grief, but it is also a fierce demand for action. We call for absolute protection, urgent justice, and a society where women can walk safely without looking over their shoulders.
Until this darkness lifts, we mourn. But until justice is served, we fight.
Rest in power to every sister we have lost. You are not forgotten. ✊🏾
