To awaken and sustain a collective urgency around the issue of hunger in the Western Cape.
đŻ Objective
To spark sustained action toward eliminating hunger in the Western Cape during winter â not through guilt, but by unlocking peopleâs natural desire to contribute meaningfully in ways that suit their realities. This includes direct feeding, supporting local food systems, volunteering, donating, skill-sharing, and starting independent or community-driven initiatives.
đ Key Framework
Hunger is not a food issue â itâs an access and systems issue
Feeding people is not charity â itâs resilience
Everyone has something to contribute â time, skill, voice, money, networks
We work with, not for communities
Winter is the deadline. Action is the delivery.
đ§ Volunteers
Put your hands where your heart is. Volunteer your time, skills or presence â even a few hours can help feed a family. Reach out and let's plug you in where you fit best.
đĄ Local Changemakers / Community Leaders
You're already making an impact â weâd love to link arms. Let's share knowledge, mobilise resources, and co-create long-term food solutions that actually work on the ground.
đŞ Donors (once-off & recurring)
Every R5 counts â really. Whether itâs once, monthly, or anonymously, your contribution goes directly to food. No fluff. No filters. Just meals where theyâre needed most.
đ Investors / Funders / Philanthropists
Invest in hunger-proofing our region. Your support doesnât just feed â it builds resilient food systems, community ownership, and measurable impact. Letâs talk long-game.
đ§ Strategists / Designers / Content Creators / Skill-Based Volunteers
Got skills but short on time? Great â we need thinkers and doers. From design to logistics to digital tools, your expertise could unlock serious reach and results.
đ˘ Influencers / Local Celebs / Loud Voices
Use your voice to feed a family. One post, one reel, one story can change someoneâs entire winter. Want to collab? Letâs make feeding cool again.
đď¸ NGOs / Churches / Civic Organisations
We donât need to reinvent the wheel. Letâs align what weâre already doing, amplify each otherâs efforts, and avoid duplication. You in?
Hungry people donât lack food. They lack access. Letâs change thatâtogether. Come to Cannabury. But donât stop there. đ
