🥾🌿 Kalkoven Team Building – Where Teamwork Reaches New Heights! 🌿🥾

What an incredible day spent in the beautiful Soutpansberg Mountains! ⛰️ The Kalkoven team stepped away from the office and farms and into nature for a team-building experience filled with adventure, fresh air, laughter and quality time together.

From breathtaking waterfalls 💦 and beautiful trees 🌳 to birds singing in the mountains 🐦 – every step brought something special.

Because sometimes the best team-building doesn’t happen in a boardroom… it happens outdoors, together, creating memories that last. ❤️

🤍 When a gathering becomes more than an event…

Some functions at Camp Aquila are not simply about a venue, a meal or a beautiful setting.
They are created with a deeper purpose — to bring people together, create space for fellowship, and allow them to experience God’s presence in the beauty and peace of the mountains. 🌿

When Lynette Roberts from Kingdom Church visited Camp Aquila from 7–8 August, she came together with others for a special time of fellowship and connection.

Afterwards, Lynette sent us this beautiful message:
“From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed — firstly by God’s presence throughout the camp, and secondly by the friendliness of the staff, the excellent service and the delicious food.”
She also mentioned the cleanliness of the rooms, the warm hospitality from Susan, and the care and support she received throughout the planning process.

Her final rating?
“10 out of 10.” 🤍

But for us, the most meaningful part is knowing that they felt welcomed, cared for and at peace.

That is why we love what we do at Kamp Aquila.
Because sometimes, creating the right space for people is about much more than hosting an event.
It is about creating a place where people can connect, be encouraged, make memories — and encounter God in the beauty of His creation. 🙏🌿

🐾 LIFE BEYOND WHAT WE SEE 🌿

The Soutpansberg is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife — much of it moving quietly through the mountains when we are not watching.

We are privileged to have camera traps on the Kamp Aquila property, forming part of the Primate and Predator Project, a research project based in the Soutpansberg Mountains.

The project focuses on biodiversity conservation, predator–prey interactions and human–wildlife relationships in this unique mountain environment.

Their cameras have captured some wonderful visitors along the way… 🐆🦌🐒🦊
