Glitter… but make it muddy 😏✨

This weekend Paige, Tamlyn, and a special visitor Shamima said “let’s take the sparkle off-road” and took on Muddy Princess 💪🏽👑

And yes… they were out there repping their Undulations shirts 😁 Because apparently the sparkle doesn’t switch off… it just gets a bit… earthy.

There’s something magical about mirror moments in dance.

The mirror isn’t there for perfection.
It’s there for awareness, confidence, and connection.

In belly dance, mirrors help dancers see how their bodies move, understand alignment, and build coordination. But even more importantly… they help dancers see themselves trying, learning, and growing.

Sometimes the biggest lesson isn’t the movement.
It’s the moment a dancer looks at herself and thinks:

Our Kiddies Belly Dance Classes officially launch at The Playhouse in Fish Hoek… and we could not be more excited 💃🧒

Belly dance is such a beautiful fit for kids 🌈
It’s playful, expressive, and builds strength and coordination without pressure or competition.

In our classes, kids get to:
✨ move their bodies with confidence
✨ build coordination, balance & body awareness
✨ express emotions through music and movement
✨ feel strong, capable, and proud of themselves
✨ most importantly… have FUN

These classes are led by the wonderful Candice 💖
A qualified Foundation Phase & Early Childhood educator with years of experience teaching children, Candice brings a rare blend of structure, warmth, and genuine care into the dance space. She has a natural way of making kids feel safe, seen, and celebrated — exactly what little dancers need.

This is about more than dance steps.
It’s about confidence, self-expression, and helping kids grow up feeling at home in their bodies ✨

Doing a little throwback to Cape Town Oriental Dance Festival where Paige, Chloe and Robyn performed a group fusion performance to Taboo by Amanati.

We braved a veil routine in the Cape Town wind 💨 Shout out to our MC for running on stage mid-performance to catch our runaway veils (see last photo) 😂

✨ Congratulations are in order! ✨

We’re so excited to officially introduce Candice, who has just completed her teacher training with us and is stepping into her new role as an Undulations teacher 🌸

Candice isn’t just a beautiful dancer - she’s a highly qualified educator with a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase & Early Childhood Development, years of hands-on experience teaching children, and owning her own school. Safe to say… little humans are very lucky to have her.

By blending her deep love for teaching with her love for belly dance, Candice will be leading our Belly Dance Classes for Children in Cape Town💃🧒

Her heart is in helping kids:
✨ fall in love with their bodies
✨ build lasting confidence
✨ discover how capable they truly are
✨ and experience the pure joy of movement and dance

This is about so much more than steps - it’s about self-belief, expression, and growing up knowing your body is powerful and worthy.

✨ BIG (and very sparkly) studio news… ✨

Something magical is coming to Fish Hoek, Cape Town 💫

Undulations is growing, and we’re so excited to share that we’ll soon be offering in-person children’s belly dance classes - alongside our Johannesburg studio and online family.

Why belly dance for kids (yes, boys AND girls)?
🌟 Builds confidence and body awareness
🌟 Encourages coordination, rhythm, and joyful movement
🌟 Supports emotional expression in a fun, pressure-free way
🌟 Celebrates movement without competition or perfection
🌟 Most importantly… it’s FUN!

These classes are designed to be playful, inclusive, and age-appropriate — a space where little humans can move, explore, and shine ✨

We’ll be launching in February, and classes will be led by a teacher with years of experience working with children (teacher reveal coming next week 👀💃).
