Durban Dance Unlimited proudly represented our studio at the annual Natal Festival of Dance Competition and what an incredible weekend it was.
Our dancers truly gave it their all, pouring heart and soul into every performance. From Modern and Contemporary solos and groups to Hip Hop and Jazz, their dedication and passion lit up the stage.

A massive shoutout to our phenomenal team of teachers and choreographers. Your dedication, patience, love, and care for each student do not go unnoticed, we are absolutely proud to have such inspiring mentors leading the way.

To our amazing parents, thank you for your continued trust and support. We truly appreciate the sacrifices you make, your flexibility, and your efforts in helping your children show up and shine during competition season.

Our studio performed incredibly well across the board, with numerous placings throughout the weekend in various genres and sections. We are thrilled to share some of the overall awards received at prize-giving:

🏆 Thapelo Khumalo – Best Novice Hip Hop Soloist for the Festival

🏆 Deen Moolla – Best Junior Amateur Hip Hop Soloist for the Festival

🎓 Also awarded a bursary for his outstanding performance

🏆 Hlelo Zondo – Best Improvisation Hip Hop Soloist for the Festival (tied)

Well done to all our dancers for all your hard work and effort

This past weekend, our hip hop dancers represented our studio in Hillcrest at the Take Dance Hip Hop Dance Competition, hosted by 🫰

We are incredibly proud of each and every dancer who left their heart on the floor and showcased their passion and love for hip hop. Thank you for representing our studio with pride, for believing in yourselves, and for bringing such amazing energy to the stage. A special shoutout to everyone who made the trip out and enjoyed the vibes of the competition, your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.

🥇 Congratulations to Deen Moolla for winning the Junior Hip Hop Category
🥇Well done to Hlelo Zondo for taking the top spot in the Intermediate Category

At the end of the day, it’s not just about bringing home the wins, it’s about learning, building, and growing with each competition. You all showed up, supported one another, and moved as a team. That’s what true dance family is all about.
