"That's not all, that's not enough... The research youve gathered, the information you've consumed...is it a fact? The history you embrace so much how do you know if it true..., these footsteps on fire that youre walking in, how do you plan to preserve its fire?"

From the museum walls to the stage, history lives and memory breathes.

The Apartheid Museum confronts South Africa's past through theatre, memory, performance and dialogue — asking what it means for a generation born after apartheid to inherit, remember and engage with the history that shaped the nation.

We are honoured to bring the work to Wits University as part of Footsteps on Fire.

IT IS COMING BACK.

In 2023, FIRST AND LAST took the stage at Joburg Theatre.

Now, the story returns — newly developed, reworked and ready to ask harder questions.

What happens when the pain you buried refuses to stay buried?
What happens when the person who comes looking for help may not be the only one who needs healing?

FIRST AND LAST

A stage play by Zongezile JJ Zengele.
Coming back to theatre soon. Stay tuned
