Beach Buggy built from wood, featuring a Plexiglass windscreen and an elastic-band suspension system on all four wheels. A fun little woodworking project.

A little wooden bakkie built as a test to see if four elastic bands could work as suspension.

Each wheel has its own elastic band, allowing the wheels to move independently of each other.

With opening bonnet and rear lid on hinges, this little bakkie turned out to be a pretty cool wooden toy for boys!

From Black Wattle to a spiral bed lamp. Turned on the lathe, marked with masking tape, then drilled and sanded to create the spiral design.
The base was also turned and glued to the cylinder. Add a cord and bulb — and the lamp comes to life!

A collection of Minecraft figures, with Alex busy mining!
His arm movement is driven by a propeller and connecting rods hidden inside the plywood box.
The propeller on the outside powers the mechanism and brings Alex to life.

Need an eyebolt? Make one!
Bend a wire around a rod or dowel, then cut it to size.
In this case, I used 2 mm brass rod, bent it around a 5 mm dowel and cut it with side cutters. A simple way to make your own small eyebolts!

Fan-powered Minecraft mining!
I created a simple mechanism using a propeller, disc and connecting rods to make the Minecraft figure move as if it’s mining.
It works well when placed near a fan — the airflow sets the propeller in motion and brings the figure to life!

I made this unique pendulum wall clock with an anchor as the backdrop for the pendulum. The clock face is set on a separate level, allowing the pendulum to move freely behind it. A thick rope is wrapped around the clock face, complementing the anchor and giving the entire design a distinctive nautical look.

This was a popular toy in the 70's. Easy to make Buzzer for your kids. Just cut off a piece of an old plastic ruler and drill two holes around the centre. Thread a piece of rope through it to make a loop and the buzzer is ready to function.
