What a special day at the AAB Performance Awards! ✨

A big well done to our 35 dancers who took to the stage yesterday — your commitment, courage and passion truly showed in every performance.

We were so honoured to welcome judge Alice-Ann Cassell, who travelled all the way to be with us. Thank you for your time, insight and encouragement — it means so much to our dancers and team.

Our results speak for the hard work behind the scenes:
✨ 6 Silver with Distinction
✨ 11 Silver with Double Distinction
✨ 11 Gold
✨ 7 Gold with Distinction

And a truly exciting highlight — 11 scholarships awarded for the American Academy of Ballet’s 2027 Summer Program in New York! 🇺🇸

To every dancer: you brought something unique to that stage, and it did not go unnoticed.

We are incredibly proud of our Ballet 3 dancers - Gabriella Jonsson, Christina Jonsson, and Jaden Morton, who recently represented us at the SAIBC Regionals in Gqeberha 👏🩰

All three dancers have been selected to compete at the SAIBC Finals in Cape Town from 3–6 August, an amazing achievement 🥳

They also performed a trio, “Entre’ Act,” which has been chosen to advance to Nationals ✨

A special highlight: Mr Dirk Badenhorst (CEO of SAIBC) not only adjudicated the competition but also personally invited their trio to perform at the prestigious Gala Performance in Pretoria at the end of July. This event will feature both international and local dancers before the finals in Cape Town.

To top it all off, Jaden Morton was awarded one of the major prizes - a flight ticket to attend the SAIBC in August ✈️🏆

We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, dedication, and passion. The journey continues - onward to Nationals and beyond💫🩰❤️
