Why Pottery is therapeutic:

Pottery serves as a non-medicated way to gain control over mental health complications and it's therapy for all ages.

According to research is had been reported that nursing home residents that participate in pottery have shown improved measures of self esteem, reduced depression and anxiety.

Pottery is highly enjoyable and it gives an opportunity to express ourselves creatively. It can also offer physical therapy by increasing hand-eye coordination along with mental concentration.

The importance of Art in child development

-Language development:
For very young children, making art or just talking about it provides opportunities to learn words for colours, shapes and actions.

-Decision making:
The experience of making decisions and choices in the course of creating art carries over into other parts of life.

-Visual learning:
Drawing, painting, sculpting with clay etc all develop visual spatial skills meaning before kids can read they take in visual information which consists of cues that we get from pictures or three-dimensional objects from digital media, books and television.
