Buyelembo Village One year anniversary Celebration:
Cape Town is known for its beautiful encapsulating spaces where tourists and locals can go out and enjoy themselves as well as encounter rich authenticity, however these spaces are more prevalent in the city as oppose to our local areas.
Buyelembo village is an artistic, ethnic and eccentric space situated right in the heart of Cape Towns biggest location, Khayelitsha. The village is home to a rich keep in culture and a hub for the creative space to exist in its totality.
The village celebrates its full year in existence this December on the 16th, although it is as young as it is, the village has housed some of South Africa’s most loved national artists namely, K.O (Teargas team member) and Naak Musiq who was recently signed to the nationally acclaimed record label Afrotainment spear-headed by Dj Tira.
It is because of these many milestones achieved by the space that the owner Moses Gxothiwe has decided to end off what has been an incredible year of celebrating the strides the venue has made to steer positive change within a fast growing “Ekasi Economy”.
The celebration is set to take place December 16th at Buyelembo village with its headlining act being Sizwe Dlomo supported by Cape Town’s most trusted Djs.
