Ixolo. It’s an orange peel in English. Uxolo. It’s when someone is apologetic towards any wrongdoing. That’s only a fair translation from Xhosa to English. In this case the orange peel doesn’t mean that, it’s very simple…it’s only in the garden to ward off pests. Instead of us deviating away from our initial idea of not working organically.

Our walls cannot just be normal like other households because she always adds a little bit of her artistry. Sometimes we joke about how if she would live with another family she would get a hiding or worse they would box her and not let her explore herself.
