Two of South Africa’s most beloved and acclaimed musicians are finally sharing a stage! 🇿🇦

Vusi Mahlasela , “The Voice”, and internationally acclaimed guitarist Guy Buttery have been collaborating for more than 20 years — appearing on each other’s albums across two decades. Now, for the very first time, they’ll perform together live.

Expect solo performances from both artists, followed by intimate collaborations and duets that bring their remarkable musical connection to life.

“IMPOSSIBLE SEA” is the new single from Man As Machine , a track about leaving the familiar behind, facing the unknown and finding the courage to keep moving forward.

Originally written back in 2016/17 and left on the shelf for years, the song was resurrected, reworked and given a new lease on life in 2025.

The band describe the sound as “a quarter Incubus, a quarter Blindside, and a half Man As Machine itself just trying to mature.”

We’d say that’s a pretty good way of putting it.
