WHAT A WEEKEND. WHAT A RALLY. WHAT A CLUB.
A massive thank you to the entire 064 Motorcycle Club for allowing me the opportunity to be part of Flamingo Rally 2026.
From helping with the marketing and promo side of things to standing behind the microphone as MC, it was an absolute privilege to be involved in something that brought so many people together for an unforgettable weekend.
I must confess though... somewhere along the line I seem to have misunderstood the MC job description. Instead of staying on the stage like a normal person, I spent most of the weekend wandering through the crowd, chatting to people, chasing stories, getting caught up in the excitement and generally behaving like a sponsored pedestrian.
The result?
My voice now sounds like I swallowed a handful of gravel, my feet have filed a formal complaint with management, and my legs are reminding me that I'm a marketer with a microphone, not a Comrades Marathon athlete.
But I wouldn't change a second of it.
To every rider, sponsor, volunteer, vendor, artist, spectator and club member who made the weekend what it was, thank you. The energy, the passion and the camaraderie were something special to witness.
064 MCC, thank you for the trust, the friendship and the opportunity.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be spending the next few days recovering and trying to remember what my normal voice sounds like.
