We’re going to Basel. 🇨🇭🇿🇦✈️

BNAP Foundation has been selected as the only South African organization to participate in the Africa Basel () Conversations Programme, 16–21 June 2026.

Our Art Director Olwethu de Vos ( )will lead the panel “Beyond the White Cube: Artist-Led Organizations and New Exhibition Formats” — bringing South African artist-led spaces to one of the world’s most important stages for contemporary art.

She will be in conversation with internationally recognized artist-led initiatives, exploring how spaces like ours are reshaping exhibition formats, challenging traditional gallery models, and building sustainable, community-rooted infrastructures for contemporary art across the continent and beyond.

This initiative is made possible with the support of National Arts Council (NAC). Thank you for investing in South Africa’s presence on the global stage. 🙏🏾
