Adrienne helping a student take her weaving off the loom, from our last workshop in the studio.

We're running another 3 day beginners weaving workshop at the ColourSpun Studio in Heidelberg, 9 to 11 October 2026. You'll learn to weave on an Ashford Rigid Heddle loom and go home with your own set of handwoven tea towels.

R1995 includes loom use, your kit of 6 x Pure Cotton DK, and teas and lunch each day. Kept small with a maximum of 5 people.

Hand Towels in Colour Weave
with Jeanette van den Berg

Discover the magic of colour in weaving!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn how colour choices can transform simple plain weave into striking and beautiful fabrics. Explore the power of contrast, experiment with vertical and horizontal stripes, create classic plaids, and gain confidence in planning colourful woven projects.

By the end of the workshop, you'll take home **two beautiful handwoven hand towels** and a solid understanding of how to use colour effectively in your weaving.
