Please note the procedure for cleaning and sterilising the masks:

1. After wearing, remove your mask by the straps only.

2. To sterilize, place the mask and filter in a bowl and cover with boiling water from a kettle.

3. Wash hands and face using Covid-19 Protocols as set out by the World Health Organization (WHO).

4. After 5 minutes, remove the mask from the hot water and rinse in cold water.

5. Press dry with clean paper towels, remove the filter and put both mask and filter aside to air-dry.

6. The mask may be washed with detergent by hand and ironed but only after removing the filter.

7. Do not Squeeze, wring or wash the filter with detergent as this could damage its delicate structure.

8. The filter should be replaced after being sterilised 5 times.



Below are the Do’s and Don’ts of all cloth masks:

DO’s:

Do: pull your hair back out of your face

Do: cover the nose & mouth

Do: tie the straps comfortably behind the neck & head

Do: remove the mask by grabbing it from the back



DON’Ts:

Don’t: pull below the nose & below the chin

Don’t: wear on the forehead

Don’t: pull wear mask from one ear

Don’t: wear a dirty or wet mask
