Something else to think about: the OPEN CALL FOR THE JOBURG FRINGE @ THE ART ROOM 2020
We invite artists to submit art in any medium. Please note that the maximum size we can accommodate for 2-d artworks (ie stretched paintings or framed works) is 150 x 100cm.
When: 30 August – 26 September 2020
Where: The Art Room, 22 - 4th Ave, Cnr. 7th St, Parkhurst, Johannesburg
This year the jury will select individual works, which will be exhibited salon-style. All works on paper or photography selected by the jury for the show must be framed and works on canvas stretched. All works selected must be available for the show: no substitutes will be accepted.
Submissions: send the following to [email protected] via WeTransfer, as jpgs only. Any other format will not be accepted.
• 7 images
• Images to be labelled in the following sequence: Artist, title, year, medium, size (with the measurements in cm height x width (x depth)), edition. Maximum image size: 1 MB. Unless these instructions are followed, the work will be rejected
• Statement about the work / project to accompany the images submitted (max half of A4 page)
• Biographical note (max half of A4 page)
Cost: no registration fee but 50% commission on sales
Closing date for submissions: 21 June 2020
