Thobile grew up in a jazz loving home wherein she was heavily influenced by her saxophonist grandfather and tap dancing uncle. She has over 10 years experience working in eventing and marketing, majority of which were at Kaya FM as the station events coordinator
Thobile has also worked with bands like Impande Core, Seeds Of Light & Kwani Experience etc

Thobi has been a Jazz enthusiast from an early age. Mentored by her father who is himself an owner of a successful jazz club in Vosloorus, Tamati Privé as well as the chairperson of the Ekurhuleni Jazz Association. Thobi studied sound engineering, has worked in both the public and private sectors and has more than 10 years experience in organisational mangement
The goal is to be Johannesburg's premier Live Jazz Venue and Bar, which offers artists, musicians and lovers of fine music, a space (or rather a 'home') for collaborations, jam sessions, live performances and recordings, projects as well as, arts management
