Before Artist Proof Studio became home to hundreds of artists, it started as a small dream rooted in South Africa’s new democracy.
In 1991, just after Mandela’s release, APS was founded with a simple but radical belief: Arts education should be accessible regardless of privilege, background, or opportunity.
