Multi-talented Gareth Lubbe (violin, viola & voice) & Hanna Heinmaa (piano). Gareth, who mesmerized the JPO audience last Thursday, has performed on the world’s leading stages such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Wigmore Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York.

Our next concert is 3 weeks away! 🎻🎹🎵🎶❤️

Multi-talented Gareth Lubbe is a violinist, a violist and a master overtone (or multiphonic) singer – meaning that he can produce two vocal pitches simultaneously (how is it possible!?!😮).

Gareth, SA-born, Europe-based soloist and chamber musician, is Professor of Viola at the Folkswang University of the Arts in Germany and has lectured vocal at the Julliard in NYC. He has played all over the world and frequently performs with high-profile musicians such as Pinchas Zukerman, Janine Jansen and Mischa Maisky.

Gareth will be performing for the JMS with his Estonian pianist wife Hanna Heinmaa. (He will also play a viola concerto with the JPO on 3 September.)
