Tshepo Dlamini, a resident of Alexandra, turned heads today with his bold headwear — a look that some say echoes the style associated with the soldiers who crucified Jesus of Nazareth.

Despite the historical symbolism, many onlookers couldn’t help but admire his striking appearance, with some praising his confidence and unique sense of style.

BREAKING NEWS | MALEMA RELEASED ON WARNING

KUGOMPO CITY - Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema has been released on free bail after the magistrate, Twanet Olivier has granted Julius Malema leave to appeal on sentence.

The leave to appeal is only his sentence of five years in prison, not his conviction, meaning the EFF Leader is not going to prison now.

The appeal means his sentencing is not in effect until appeal is heard/decided.

Speaking to the party's supporters outside KuGompo Magistrates Court, Malema says he was tried by an ugly Magistrate that doesn't know how to read.

"Twanet Olivier is the most incompetent magistrate who reads a judgement for three days," he said

"We are done with her. That is why when she said to me ‘You can leave now on a Free Bail’, I looked at her and said ‘BYE-BYE’. I HAVE SEEN HER UGLY FACE FOR TOO LONG!"

"We are going forward, the campaigns of the EFF must continue. It’s business as usual. Am not going to Jail , am still around. I told you yesterday that am going home with you," he continued

Malema will remain a member of parliament until his appeal is concluded.

Two Tembisa SAPS Officers Arrested Inside Boksburg Prison After 82 Mandrax Tablets and Dagga Are Found Hidden in Police Vehicle

Two police officers attached to Tembisa SAPS were arrested for possession of drugs inside Boksburg Correctional Centre. The arrests followed a routine vehicle search conducted at the prison’s entrance, where officials uncovered illegal substances inside a police vehicle.

At approximately 09:30, a Correctional Services official performing access control duties stopped a white SAPS vehicle entering the facility. The vehicle was occupied by two SAPS members, one dressed in full police uniform and the other in civilian clothing at the time of the search.

During the inspection, the official discovered a blue plastic bag hidden underneath a seat in the vehicle. Inside the bag were 82 mandrax tablets and dagga. Following the discovery, both officers were immediately placed under arrest at the scene.

The two suspects are expected to appear in court soon in connection with the possession of drugs. Authorities have not released further details at this stage as the matter proceeds through the legal process.

A phone with no SIM card.
No airtime.
No reliance on mobile networks.

Just raw understanding—and imagination.

Using spare parts, Simon tapped into radio frequencies to make calls. That’s not just creativity—that’s reengineering the rules. It’s looking at a system and asking, what if we don’t need it the way we’ve been told we do?

And then building the answer.

Because this story isn’t just about a device.

It’s about what it represents.

A young African mind refusing to be limited by environment.
A reminder that brilliance is not imported—it is already present.
A quiet but powerful statement that innovation doesn’t belong to corporations—it belongs to people.

For generations, narratives have tried to center progress in a few places, as if genius has a zip code.

But Simon Petrus disrupts that idea completely.

He shows us that curiosity can be a laboratory.
That determination can be funding.
That vision can be infrastructure.

And more than anything—he reminds us of something deeply important:

There are countless minds like his across Africa, across the diaspora, across communities that the world too often overlooks.

Not lacking intelligence.
Not lacking creativity.

Just lacking recognition.

Until they build something the world can no longer ignore.

Simon didn’t just create a phone.

He created a message:

That the future is not waiting to be handed down.

It’s already being built—piece by piece, idea by idea, in places the world is only just beginning to see. 🌍✨

At some point parents must take parenting very seriously, kids don't need such things, such things must be reserved for adults who are mature enough to understand that having it does not mean one must be a bully.

Parents check your children, some get these things without the knowledge and the support of the parents. Nalenyanga efaka abantwana amabhade kuyafuneka ike ivakashelwe.
