Mfuneli Ntumbuka is a multidisciplinary artist with a BA in Theatre and Performance (Acting) from the University of Cape Town. She is trained in movement, physical theatre, heightened text drama, and devising, bringing a dynamic presence to the stage.

A multilingual performer fluent in isiXhosa and English, and conversational in Afrikaans, her work is grounded in finding truth in performance and using theatre as a vessel for both told and untold stories.

She was a 2025 Fleur du Cap nominee for Most Promising Student and continues to build her path in South African theatre and film.

Deon Lotz is an internationally award-winning actor who studied drama in Cape Town before spending 13 years in hospitality management. He returned to acting in 2001, building a career across theatre, television, radio, and film.

His acclaimed performance in Skoonheid (Beauty) earned him Best Actor awards at the Zurich Film Festival (2011) and the SAFTAs (2012), following its Q***r Palm win at Cannes.

His film credits include Roepman, Sleepers Wake, Verraaiers, Faan se Trein, and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, alongside international projects such as Kite and The Book of Negroes. He has received multiple Fleur du Cap, Fiesta, and SAFTA nominations.

Botlhale Mahlangu is a multidisciplinary artist from Saulsville, Pretoria, who began his career as a poet and dancer at the age of seven. A member of Tsogang Dichaba, he later trained at the South African State Theatre, performing in productions including Purple Orchid, Songbird, and Maono.

His film debut, Surviving Gaza, earned him a Best Actor nomination at the 2022 AMAA, while Maono received multiple awards including a Standard Bank Ovation Award. In 2024, he appeared in Space Rocks, and in 2025 collaborated on Mmopi and The Old One, while also debuting his play Motho.

His work centres politically conscious African storytelling.

Ben Albertyn is a Cape Townโ€“based actor whose work spans acclaimed South African theatre and film. Since graduating from the University of Cape Town, he has performed in productions by Neil Coppen (Die Dag is Bros), Marthinus Basson (Boklied), Nico Scheepers (The Glass Menagerie), Marรญ Borstlap (Neon Smoel), Tara Notcutt (Albatros), and Tinarie Van Wyk-Loots (Dinge Van โ€˜n Kind).

His performance in Droomwerk at the National Arts Festival (2023), directed by Kanya Viljoen and Lwanda Sindaphi, earned him a Fleur du Cap nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He also won Best Actor at the 2024 Silwerskermfees for Die Skynwerper.

Alex Sono is a Johannesburg-based filmmaker, actor, and musician with a Masterโ€™s in Film from Wits University, specialising in experimental fact-fiction. He began acting at the age of three and has appeared in productions including Jozi H, Rhythm City, Saints & Sinners, and uBettina Wethu (2021โ€“2024).

His theatre work includes the National Arts Festival and international study in Sweden. As a filmmaker, he has directed award-winning documentaries including The Revolutionary Act (2018) and My Fatherโ€™s Sun (2019), with later work screening at IDFA.

In 2024, his one-man play Yangthola won a Standard Bank Ovation Award and earned Naledi nominations.
