Starboard South Africa will be hosting their annual SUP Open Day & Fun Race on 14 October 2017

Open Day Format: From 14:00 - 15:00PM everyone who has ever wanted to try Stand Up Paddling is welcome to try Stand Up Paddling for FREE. Find out why Stand Up Paddling is the fastest growing Sport in the world and get fit without trying hard. Just ask for Chris or Gunter on the Day.

Sprint Knock Out Race:
The Sprint Race starts at 15:00PM - 15:45PM and will be a knock-out event where we will determine Gauteng's fastest SUPer on Water.

3KM Technical Race:
The Technical Race starts at 16:00PM - 16:30PM and will be a 3 Lap Course. You will need to navigate between various buoys throughout the course. Weaker paddlers will get a time-advantage.

Event Details:
Venue: Emmarentia Dam – Dabulamanzi Canoe Club
Date: Saturday, 14th October 2017
Who: Everyone with or without a SUP Board.

Times:
Demos: 14:00 - 15:00 PM
Sprint Race Start: 15:00 - 15:45 PM
3KM Technical Race Start: 16:00 - 16:30 PM
Bring and Braai: 16:30 PM

Popped past Star-Board today in Midrand and saw these on the shelf, Starboard Inflatable Roof Rack. It comes with the following 1x Compact carry bag, 2x 3metre Straps, 2x Inflatable racks, 1x Hand Pump. A pretty nifty idea and much better than the old trick of towels on the roof. At R1k, an alternative to an expensive roof rack. If anyone has tried one of these, let us know!
