Join us for a Fundraising Pop-Up Exhibition to help send our founder Nomvula Millicent Hoko Nomvula Hoko to her Stone Lithography Residency in Thailand!

Featuring works by:
Senzeni Marasela | Nomvula Hoko | Luzuko Dayile.

Purpose: Raising funds to cover travel, studio access, and technical materials for the two-week Stone Lithography Capacity Building Residency at Hello, Print Friend Studios in Chiang Mai, Thailand (6–19 September 2026). 

WHAT TO EXPECT
Pop-Up Artwork Sale: Original prints, proofs, and works on paper available for direct purchase.
Fundraising Drive: Every purchase or donation goes directly toward funding room, board, studio tuition, and printmaking supplies for the residency.

Community & Art: Connect, view the collection, and chat about traditional stone printmaking techniques, collaborative practice, and upcoming international projects

Our Director, Nomvula Hoko Nomvula Millicent Hoko , was selected by the Charlotte Mannya Maxeke institute CharlotteMannyaMaxekeInstitute and the Embassy of Malawi to create the official portrait of Her Excellency, President Dr. Joyce Banda, for the Republic of Malawi. 🇲🇼🎨
Simultaneously, our talented mentee, Bamanye Gugu 𝑩𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒆 𝑮𝒖𝒈𝒖 was selected to paint the portrait of Dr. Mary Robinson, the former President of Ireland! 🇮🇪✨
To have both our leadership and our mentorship program recognized on such high-level diplomatic and global platforms—honoring iconic women leaders across continents—is a monumental achievement for the Canvasity community.

Marking Our Place in History
We are beyond proud to announce that our founder has been featured in a landmark South African Printmaking Manual, documenting the icons and masters of the craft.
Beyond the pages, she also served as a workshop facilitator, leading the charge in preserving our artistic heritage and mentoring the next generation of printmakers. From the studio to the history books, we are committed to leaving a lasting impression on the South African art landscape. Thank you to for keeping the legacy alive.
