Today, we celebrate two remarkable men who helped shape an unforgettable chapter in the story of Mr Gay Nation SA.

To Alton Isaacs, our 2025 1st Runner-Up, and Gerhard Koekemoer, our 2025 2nd Runner-Up:

Your journeys reminded us that Mr Gay Nation SA has never been about a title alone. It is about the courage to step forward, the confidence to be seen, the strength to stand proudly in who you are, and the impact you create along the way.

Throughout the 2025 journey, you each brought your own personality, story and presence to the Nation. Together, you formed part of a class that will forever hold a special place in our history. As we prepare to welcome a new generation and begin a new chapter, we pause to recognise the men who helped carry the legacy before them.

The stage is set, the cocktails are ready, and the Celestial Seven are preparing to serve creativity, personality and unforgettable entertainment at the Mr Gay Nation SA 2026 Finalists’ Mixology Showdown!

Join us for an extraordinary evening where our seven finalists will each present their own signature Black Crow cocktail, accompanied by spectacular drag performances and plenty of celestial glamour.

Our finalists were challenged to prove that meaningful change can begin with something as simple as a bar of soap and a tube of toothpaste.

Through the support of friends, family, colleagues and local businesses, they collected essential hygiene products and created dignity packs for people in need within their communities.

These packs may seem small, but they represent something much greater: dignity, confidence, care and the reminder that every person deserves to feel seen, respected and valued. This challenge was never about who could spend the most money. It was about leadership, compassion, community participation and using your platform to make a genuine difference.

We are incredibly proud of our finalists for stepping forward, bringing people together and serving their communities with purpose.

Thank you to every individual and business that contributed to the Soap & Toothpaste Challenge. Every donation helped make an impact.

Representing the Northern Cape with pride, Giovanni has brought determination, courage and a powerful sense of purpose to the Mr Gay Nation South Africa journey. Despite the distance and the personal challenges he has faced, he continued to show up, participate and give his best. His journey reflects resilience, growth and the strength to keep moving forward while remaining proudly true to himself.

Giovanni has reminded us that our circumstances do not define our potential. His commitment, community spirit and inspiring story have made his Road to the Title truly special.

ROAD TO THE TITLE: ArĂ­ Nieuwoudt

Ari began his Mr Gay Nation SA journey with a dream, but also with doubts about whether he was good enough and capable of everything the journey would require. By continuing to show up, embrace every challenge and remain true to himself, he discovered strength, confidence, purpose and a voice he did not always know he had.

His journey is a beautiful reminder that growth is not about becoming perfect and it is about becoming more comfortable with who you are and having the courage to keep evolving.

Today, our Gauteng Finalist stands proud of how far he has come and excited for the man he is still becoming.
