The little comforting routine of ‘tucking in the bunnies’ aka securing the shoe elastics out of sight forms a settling in time for tiny ballerinas … they get to tell me their stories and they are more able to separate from their caregivers and step independently into their class time. Of course this is a way to introduce the proper attire for ballet class and instill pride in each dancer
