Nap-trapped by my 9 week old whilst my 21 month old has his lunchtime nap, why not look back on what I was up to this time last year?! Painting all the lovely commissions that come my way… this one, from & as a birthday gift for their Mum of her spectacular garden.

I’m currently accepting that painting is going to take the back seat for a while but I can’t wait to get back to your commissions & all the ideas that have popped into my head the last few months! I can’t say when that will be, but I’m very keen to put brush to paper soon…even if it is for a mere 15 minutes!

Happy New Year! I hope you have all had a restful & fulfilling festive season🌻

We spent our break in Zim with my family, on the farm. A trip to Zim is always memorable and spending time there with Robert gives you a different perspective on so many things! Lots of walks, swims, horse rides, dramatic rain storms (& power cuts!) and family-time (& snakes!) kept us busy & the time just flew by!

I am back to work this week (my fulltime job that is, not painting (unfortunately!)) and I’m strategising how I’m going to find time to paint! With a full time job and a little 8 month old, painting opportunities are looking slim, but I’m determined to keep it up! Any tips out there from Mums in a similar situation?

Loved painting the Headmaster’s House at Ruzawi School. Thank you for the commission Carey-Ann Edwards💫

In a wonderful roundabout way, my older sister shared many dinners with the staff of Ruzawi at this very house, when she was a teacher there a few years ago.

Having attended primary school in Bulawayo, I have fond memories of travelling to Ruzawi for tennis fixtures & of being in awe of the schools spectacular grounds. From what I have heard, this is just one of the wonderful aspects of this school.
