50 Years After FESTAC ’77 loading....

On Wednesday, 5th August 2026, the FESTAC AFRICA delegation paid a courtesy call on Hon. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Nigeria’s Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, and held a highly productive meeting with her team at the Ministry in Abuja, Nigeria.

Discussions centered on strategic areas of collaboration, key deliverables, and opportunities for external partnerships as we kick off preparations for this landmark event.

We remain in active dialogue with all stakeholders as we work to deliver a historic commemoration of the FESTAC ’77 Golden Jubilee — a celebration of African creativity, heritage, and global influence on all pertinent developmental aspects of our lives on the continent and the diaspora.
