Today we hit 6,000 members in our Facebook community, and I’m feeling so incredibly grateful. 🦋🎨

What a blessing it has been to share this creative space with each of you—to watch you pick up your brushes, try something new, find your creativity again, and grow in confidence.

It’s also such a beautiful reminder to never despise the day of small beginnings. What starts with one small step, one idea, one person saying “yes”… can grow into something we never imagined.

To every lady who has been part of this journey, whether you’ve been here from the beginning or joined us this week—thank you for being in my space.

I never expected art journaling to impact my life the way it did.

I was in a transition period in my life and having a background in the creative arts, I started expressing myself creatively in my journals.

I had no idea what art journaling was about - I had no fancy art journal supplies.

Even the simple technique of cutting and sticking images into my book made a profound impact on me when I connected the projects with my own journey, personal growth, dreams, and using it as an outlet to counter my own fears and negative thinking.

What I stumbled upon is a way to express myself that is personal, healing, inspirational, and deeply transformative. 👑🦋✨

I call it 'Art journaling with Purpose' and when I looked into why it made such a difference for me, I learned more about the benefits of creativity and the effect imagery has on our sub-conscious minds.

I explain what I learned in this video.

There’s something so exciting about the beginning of a new painting. 🎨

Watching something slowly appear out of nothing.

Right now, it doesn’t look like much — this is simply the foundation.

I’m starting with a loose acrylic wash, mapping out where everything will sit on the canvas and allowing the first shapes to begin to emerge.

From here, I’ll slowly build layer upon layer… adding colour, texture, detail, depth and those little unexpected marks that bring the painting to life.

Every finished painting starts here.

With a blank canvas, a few loose marks, and the willingness to begin. 🦋

🌊 INTO THE DEEP 🌊

Maybe you’ve been feeling like you’d love to create again… but you just haven’t known where to start.

Sometimes all we need is a little invitation to sit down, get our hands busy, play with colour and simply get back into the flow of creating. 🎨

Our Into the Deep workshop is now available as a replay, which means you can work through it in your own time, at your own pace.

Inside the workshop we create two beautiful art journal projects:

🐌 Slow & Steady — a reminder that progress doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful.

🐦 The Kingfisher — learning to have the courage to dive in, try again and keep going.

You don’t need to be an experienced artist. Come as you are, use the supplies you have, and give yourself permission to enjoy the process.

🐌 When last did you create something just for YOU?

I know how easy it is to join a creative group, save all the beautiful ideas, watch what everyone else is making… and somehow never actually sit down and create. 😄

Maybe life has been busy.

Maybe you haven't known what to make.

Maybe you've looked at everyone else's beautiful work and thought, I'm not creative enough to do that.

But you don't need hours of free time, expensive supplies or amazing artistic skills.

Sometimes you simply need a project to help you begin again. 🎨

This little snail was one of the projects from our recent Into the Deep workshop, and I love the reminder behind it:

Slow progress is still progress.

You don't have to create like anyone else.
You don't have to rush.
You don't have to make something perfect.

Just start where you are, with what you have.

A new painting has begun... 🦩🎨

This flamingo is being created with a purpose close to my heart.

When it's finished, it will become part of Art for the Sanctuary, an auction raising funds to help purchase a piece of land for a future sanctuary for Wave Point Church—a place where people can gather, worship, and belong.

The proceeds will also support the incredible work of the Wave Point Foundation, investing in children through education, leadership, and creating opportunities for hope and a brighter future.

This is just the beginning, and I'd love for you to follow along as this painting comes to life, one brushstroke at a time.
