MONTAGU PASS!!!

It’s official. Plans are well underway for the repair, improvement and reinstatement of this classic gravel pass north of George. R80m has been approved for the project to commence. New drainage will be added, parapet walls will be repaired and a new compacted gravel surface will ensure a smooth ride. We are overjoyed. 📷 Trygve Roberts/MPSA 🏠www.MountainPassesSouthAfrica.co.za

Good Morning South Africa!
Garden Route Tour - Day 3
We have an easy day today driving the 7 Passes Road followed by a long lunch at Knysna Heads.

Yesterday’s traverse over the ox wagon route was rough and slow with amazing scenery. Our average speed was 4,8 km per hour over the bad sections.

Our convoy of 12 vehicles made it to Bergplaas without any punctures or problems. More photos to follow.

Take a slow soulful scenic drive along the Seven Passes Road, from George to Knysna 🌳

Famed as one of the most beautiful drives in South Africa and celebrated as a , this route twists and turns through indigenous forests and deep cool gorges. The historic route passes over Coca-Cola-coloured streams and historic stone bridges. The pass consists of tar and gravel and is suitable for most vehicles.
