After the rain, the land transforms into a lush and thriving paradise, bringing relief to both the earth and its inhabitants. The once-dry terrain becomes soft and muddy, while waterholes and rivers swell with fresh rainwater.

Large herds move steadily across the landscape, their heavy hooves churning the damp earth as they make their way to the newly filled watering holes. Steam rises from their damp coats, mixing with the fresh scent of rain-soaked soil.

Upon an African H.A.R.T safari you sometimes come across amazing animals. One of the most fascinating creatures you might spot is the chameleon.

Chameleons are masters of disguise. They can change the color of their skin to blend in with their surroundings. This helps them hide from predators and sneak up on insects to eat. Their eyes can move in two different directions at the same time, allowing them to look for food while watching out for danger.

These small reptiles have long, sticky tongues that shoot out like lightning to catch unsuspecting bugs. Some chameleons are bright green, while others can turn yellow, brown, or even red. They live in trees and bushes, where they slowly move from branch to branch, gripping tightly with their strong tails and feet.

Seeing a chameleon on safari is a special treat! If you're lucky enough to find one, watch closely—because in the blink of an eye, it might disappear into its surroundings!
